Logistician of the Year 2025: Columbus Logistics Awarded for its Artificial Intelligence Radar
Columbus Logistics has been awarded the 2025 “Logistician of the Year” prize in the Innovation in Culture and Digital & Innovation category.
The recognition, promoted by Assologistica, highlights the company’s contribution to the RadarAI project, developed by LIUC – Cattaneo University’s i-LOG Center under the guidance of Eng. Nicolò Trifone and the supervision of Prof. Fabrizio Dallari, in collaboration with Columbus Logistics.
RadarAI is the first real mapping of Artificial Intelligence applications within the Italian logistics sector.
The study examined 60 real-world cases, 17 types of AI applications, and more than 700 respondents to the national survey, providing a concrete and up-to-date picture of the industry’s level of digital maturity.
The results were presented during the national conference organized last May by Columbus Logistics and LIUC, which brought together over 500 professionals.
The discussions with companies and industry operators made it possible to explore AI-driven opportunities in the supply chain and underline the importance of adopting these technologies responsibly.
The work is now also available through the AI Radar, an interactive online platform that helps companies navigate AI applications, technologies, and tangible benefits.
For Columbus Logistics, this award holds special significance. As Andrea Bianconi, IT Director at Columbus Logistics, explains:
“Innovation has always been a core value for Columbus: it means anticipating change, testing new solutions, and contributing to the development of a more advanced and aware logistics sector. This award confirms the value of a journey we pursue with commitment and continuity.”
The award ceremony took place on November 21, 2025, at the San Fedele Auditorium in Milan, during Assologistica’s annual event celebrating excellence in the logistics industry.
The 2025 “Logistician of the Year” award reinforces the importance of the partnership between Columbus Logistics and LIUC—an ongoing collaboration that promotes logistics culture, innovation, and local development, contributing to the growth of a sector increasingly aware and future-oriented.
