Team building that makes a difference: Columbus Group supports the Pigiama Run
On Thursday, September 10, we came together at our Cormano headquarters for a very special team-building activity.
For one hour, everyone at Columbus Group worked side by side to prepare race kits for the Pigiama Run, the charity run and walk organised by LILT to support children with cancer and their families.
It was a valuable opportunity to step away from our usual day-to-day activities, connect in a different way and collaborate with colleagues we do not often get the chance to work alongside.
Because teamwork is not only about working well together. It is about sharing goals, bringing together different skills and energies, and feeling part of something that goes beyond our individual roles. And when that team spirit can also support a meaningful cause, it becomes even more valuable.
In just one hour, we prepared 1,000 race bags, part of the 32,000 bags that have already passed through our logistics operations to be assembled and distributed to the cities involved in the event.
Columbus Group is a logistics partner of LILT and, since last year, has been providing its expertise and organisational support pro bono for the assembly and distribution of race kits for the association’s sporting events.
On Friday, September 18, the Pigiama Run will bring thousands of people onto the streets across Italy. Running or walking in pyjamas is a symbolic gesture of solidarity with children undergoing cancer treatment, while the proceeds from the event will help support them and their families.
For us, knowing that we have contributed through what we do best makes this team-building experience even more meaningful.
If you have not done so yet, choose the city closest to you and sign up for the Pigiama Run on Friday, September 18. A simple way to take part and support a cause that truly matters.
